“My sculptures navigate the tension of feeling unseen within the spaces I feel most connected to, explore the various identities that make an individual, and transform storytelling into an act of resistance and reclamation.
The act of making allows me to dismantle the stereotypes imposed on me, moving toward a sense of self-acceptance. My work invites viewers to join me in questioning the nature of identity, belonging, and the stories we inherit.
Though I may continue to question my place, I’ve come to one conclusion: It is okay not to fit in.
